Why one session will not fix golfer's elbow.

Golfer's elbow is an overuse and load problem on the inside of the elbow, built over months of gripping and repetition. One massage helps for a day. Getting rid of it means treating the tissue and loading the tendon back to strength, in stages, over a course.

If you want a single rub, we are not your clinic. If you want it dealt with properly, read on.

THE PROGRAMME

The Golfer's Elbow Programme.

Your assessment, your plan, and a course of hands-on soft tissue treatment over six to eight weeks with the same practitioner. We assess the forearm and grip load, release the restriction, and rebuild the tendon so it can take the load again. The hands-on treatment is what shifts the problem; your home exercises hold the gains between visits.

Assessment.

We find what is driving the problem: which structures are restricted, which are overworking, and how the pattern built up.

Tension Release.

Hands-on soft tissue work on the tissue holding the pattern in place.

Strength Rebuild.

A loading plan that retrains the tissue so the pattern does not return, with exercises you do between visits.

Reviews

What our clients say.

Verified reviews from Google, Fresha and Treatwell.

"I've had sports massage from probably eight different therapists over ten years of running. Alexander is in a different category. He explained what was actually happening in my IT band before touching it, which no one has ever done. Three sessions and the knee issue I'd had for two years is gone. I don't say that lightly."

Sarah M.

"Chronic upper back tension from desk work. I'd tried everything, osteopathy, physio, regular massage. Nothing stuck for more than a week. Alexander found a restriction in my thoracic spine that nobody had identified before and worked on it systematically across four sessions. Six months later and it hasn't come back."

James T.

"Booked the clinical assessment because I'd been told different things by three different physios and had no idea who was right. Alexander's assessment was the most thorough I've had. The written report explained my shoulder issue in a way I actually understood. The treatment plan was logical, not generic. Worth every penny just for the clarity."

What is golfer's elbow?

Golfer's elbow (medial epicondylalgia) is an overuse condition affecting the common flexor tendon where it attaches to the medial epicondyle on the inside of the elbow. It is the medial counterpart to tennis elbow, and despite its name, affects far more non-golfers than golfers, including climbers, manual workers, and people who spend long hours typing.

Our Kings Cross and Hampstead clinics provide addresses golfer's elbow through a comprehensive assessment of the forearm, wrist, and proximal chain to identify not just the symptomatic tendon but the load distribution pattern driving it.

Common symptoms

  • ✓Pain on the inside of the elbow at the medial epicondyle
  • ✓Tenderness on palpation of the common flexor origin
  • ✓Pain with gripping, squeezing, or wrist flexion under load
  • ✓Forearm tightness extending toward the wrist
  • ✓Weakness in grip strength on the affected side
  • ✓Pain that worsens with repetitive forearm use

When elbow pain needs a doctor.

Pain after a fall, or numbness and pins and needles in the hand, needs screening first. We check at your assessment and refer if needed.
